IN LOVING MEMORY OF PASTOR RICHARD IRA COOPER
In loving memory of Pastor Richard Ira Cooper.
Richard Cooper was born on February 5, 1948 in Brooklyn, NYC, NY to the late Maxwell & Esther Cooper. He was affectionately called “Coop” by his close friends and “Ricky” by his loving family. The Lord Yeshua (Jesus) called him home to heaven on March 9, 2024 at the age of 76.
Pastor Cooper was a music teacher for 26 years in NYC. He moved to Las Vegas after he retired from teaching. He became the Associate Pastor and the Cantor of Beth Yeshua Messianic Congregation on Sept. 2005. He had a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary. Also, he was an expert and accomplished flautist; studied under the best flautists in the world at Manhattan School of Music in NYC.
Pastor Cooper was a loyal and faithful servant of the Lord right up until the day he passed. We will miss his flute playing during our worship services at Beth Yeshua. We will also miss his encouraging teachings from the Bible and his spiritual biblical care. Coop trusted the Lord with all his heart and listened daily for God’s instructions. He took all of his thoughts captive unto the obedience of Yeshua. He was a wonderful encouraging pastor who cared for the spiritual growth of all who knew him. He also had a great desire to share the Gospel message every opportunity he had. He witnessed and passed out tracts to doctors and nurses at the hospital up until the day he went to be with the Lord! He is sorely missed and appreciated for all he has done to serve the Lord Yeshua. We are comforted that he is in the arms of the Lord! He was a good and faithful servant! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for all of us!
